Alberta Food Banks is the provincial association for food banks in Alberta. With a membership of 63 across the province, the association offers resources and programs to benefit member food banks. We support our members in food and fundraising initiatives, community awareness and advocacy activities.

Our mission is to advance the vital role, capacity and voice of Alberta’s food banks through advocacy, educational opportunities and exceptional member services.

  Volunteer opportunity available - computer assistance.

Live in the St. Albert area? Have lots of computer skills and want to volunteer? We want to meet you!

We need a volunteer to offer some computer and IT support to our small office team. Some of the tasks include: Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software packages (operating systems, desktop software and custom applications), assist office staff with periodic desktop support and help us resolve technical problems.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who lives in or near St. Albert who has 2-3 years of experience with IT, including 2 years support experience with networked PC equipment. You should have proficient knowledge of desktop operating systems and software, including Microsoft Office products.
